Ah.. my favourite subject, after oil....
The flippy badge is held on to the black base by a circlip. You can take it off but you can never put it on again. You need 8" long flexy fingers to get round the corner, inside the boot skin to hold the thing and push the clip back on. There's no-one alive that can do it.
The only way to put a new badge on is to remove the boot lock (the black plastic thing that the flippy badge sits in. It's held in with two shear bolts (the metal stud under each of the two plastic caps, under the flippy badge).
Drill them out. They're very soft and as you drill them they tend to come out on their own.
You can then extract the base bit and lock.
Stick the new boot badge in there and refit, using new shear bolts. These have a hex head. You just tighten them up until the head snaps off under the pressure. Robert's yer mother's brother.
