84k service - work to be done...

My 155 has just been in for it's 84,000 mile service, but didn't get away scot free... it rattles a bit on start up, but even more on the over-run if you rev it - meaning either a new cam (exhaust) or a new variator. Still, either way, that means a new cam belt too, which offers a bit more peace of mind as I bounce it off the rev limiter...

I'll let you know how it goes...

sorry to hear about the rattle, sounds like a new variator to me. if its a knocking noise on overrun, i know when i heard this in my old girl, it had the big end shell journals replaced, dont worry, its not a big job, about 250 all in.

good luck

The car has just rolled past 111250miles and is perfectly fine (touchwood).

Washed and polished on Sunday just prior to the rain.
