When the V6 is warm, there is a whining sound from the belt area. The cam belt looks in good nick (it should do it's 2000 miles old), but I think the tensioner may not have been changed with the belt. I was told by a member of this forum that it may well be the tensioner.
Just thought I'd ask everyone before me and Jason start to tinker again !!!!
It`s possible that it`s the tensioner....................or it might be the idler pulley
Might even be the belt or bearing on one of the drive belts try takin the power steering belt off and then the alternator belt and run it if its gone it`ll be one their pulleys if not twil be in the cambelt
Btw if yer tinkering with the tensioner you`ll need tiny tinkering fingers as theres not much space in there
