Re: Rear subframe bushes
Alfa dont do them seperatly, just the whole frame.
I think I tried GGB when i bought my trailing arm bearings, but i can't really remember, i may have to pester them again!!
And is this month some sort of nodal point in time, where everybody is doing the trailintg arms, each with their own tales of snapped off bolts rusty this and that. GGB must have sold hundreds of the bearing repair kits lately.
As we speak mine is up on multiple hydraulic devices with the fuel tank out and all that suspension gubbins out.
MMy problem though is that i get all sad and sentimental when i see rust so i have all the parts i could remove blast cleaned then cold galvanising spray them then paint then mucho waxoil. but it seems to be a loosing battle.
I was over a friends earlier heating the arm with a gas axe to press out the stub axle and he has a landrover chassis that he had just had zinc dipped, proper galvanising and it only cost him £140 ish. I want to strip my car down and have it done
The best quote I ever saw after a review of the 164 QV, was "From now on I am only going to buy cars powered by Alfa V6's"
Mmmmmm The noise, the noise...................
