Theres a rather horrible clang as the engine spins now... the belt is 30k old by the look of the recipts, i carnt find a recipt from Ian Spring for the belt.... its funny tho cause the last few days the engine has been sounding a bit rough, didnt want to start and idle, so maybe the belt was going slack... but my mechanice reckons theres quite a lot of room in the heads , so hopefully i will just need a few valves, 12 maybe !!!, i was supposed to be going to cornwall in it this weekend, thank god it happened when it did.
So i just waiting to hear the damage to my wallet again, i dont have the facilities, space, time or inclination to go pulling engines to bits, and i'd only mess it up anyway... see the incident with the jack and the wheelnuts !!!
So at least i will get to see what the engine looks like , and how worn the camms are etc... trying to find a bright side here
