There is an original for the radio wire with a +12VDC, if my '93 has one, yours definatly has one, when using the multimeter, put the negative lead directly on a chassis point, I usually put it right next to the key in the ignition switch, the radio always uses a seperate +12VDC lead to power the radio, the lead from the ignition is only to power up, the Kenwood Mask radio use this for flipping the display for example, I am not sure but I think the +12VDC from ignition is brown with a green line, or just red, don't remember actually
