Common leaks?

The Alfa 155 I had (still have, it's sold though) has a bad water leak. The water leaks (like rainwater, not coolant water) into the passenger footwell, where after sitting a few days in heavy rain, there is a small swimming pool I could keep goldfish in.

Any ideas where to check for this?

BTW guys, thanks for the info on the ABS system - worked fine, cheers.

Re: Common leaks?

Check the top of the door, frame can become weak or tighten the door up.

Also check the bulkhead drain holes. There is one each side and on in the middle under the wiper motor and black scuttle (?) panel.

Re: Common leaks?

I've got the same. I haven't noticed any excess gap at the top of the door or any related wind noise. What I have seen is that (during previous ownership,) the inner lip of the door seal (at the bottom) is worn/torn away, and water enters across the seal. I think this was caused by people dragging their feet across the sill.
I'll just have to get a new door seal.
I also did previously see a small water leak onto the mat. I think that water entered through the heater system. A good clear out of the heater drains and under the scuttle panel plastic trim seemed to temporarily stop this.
