V6 conversion

There seems to be an abundance of dead and dying 3.0V6 164 etc and I was wonderin if anyone had carried out the conversion ie engne+box into a 155.
Like are the drive shafts the same as an 1.8ts? I know the loom will be different but I'd be putting it on a DTA system anyway.
Is the 164 box the same as the 155V6?
Just wonderin.....

Re: V6 conversion

A few of the Dutch/Belgium owner`s have done 3.0 conversions try a search

I think you have to alter the thermostat housing as it`s on the wrong side of the head on a 3.0 from a 164 AFAIK the gearboxes are the same and should mount in ok ..............the only other thing that i remember about the swap is that you may have to modify the bulkhead as the heads are longer or wider or do you alter the engine mount to tilt it forward

Can`t remember mate but there`s sumat about the heads hitting
