CD Changer Fitting Help

I wonder if some kind soul who has the standard Philips radio-cassette installed in thier 16V along with a Philips CD changer could help me out? wink

I've just bought a Philips ARC-026 6-Disc CD changer to go with my Philips RC-348 radio-cassette, but the connectors don't go together!

I'm sure that the CD changer will work with this radio/cassette, I just need to adapt the cable.

On the radio, there is a large, square DIN connector with two rows of five pins, while on the CD changer cable the connector is much smaller one which has a top row of 3 (left to right, pin view: Yellow, Brown, White), then 2 (both sleeved in black), then 3 pins (Orange, Blue, Red) on it.

What I need to find is the pin-out of each of these connectors so that I can adapt the cable to suit.

Can anyone help??

I had a similar problem with a Kenwood system the changer had the wrong connectors for the radio but after a trip to my local audio centre they sorted me with an earlier lead which sorted me out wink

Might be worth a go or at least they might have the wiring instructions for both sets so you can modify your lead
