Hiya wideboy, welcome to our little forum

Could be wron but I dont think anyone on here has had it retro fitted. It would probably cost about 1k to fit!! Unless you can get the bits from another car but then there the drive belt problem.

Hope someone can help you more.

I guessed it would cost in the region of 1K but it`s either that or spend more than double to get an inferior replacement car so the Alfa wins!.Any idea`s for a specialist who could advise?

Here's the web address of a specialist in West London.
They might be able to give some advice.

I fancied retrofitting aircon too, using genuine Alfa parts from scrappies. I think the biggest problem would be fitting the internal aircon / heater matrix - as far as I know, it's all one unit (i.e, you can't just add a cooler matrix inside) and the whole dash needs to come out to fit it.

However, I reckon the parts list is no more than:

New belt (does it run off the alternator belt or it's own?)
Switches and wiring
Internal temp sensor (goes down by steering column)
External temp sensor (door mirror)
Air con rad (condensor?)
...and lots of patience

I'm also wondering if basic aircon (i.e., not auto climate control) needs the temperature sensors?

Last time I brought up the subject, a few on here said it's not worth it since the Alfa air con is next to useless... but I still fancy having a go.

There's always one - and it's usually me!

Hi Widebody,

Mines fitted as standard but unfotunately have never been able to use it because when it gets too hot you switch on the air-co then the in-efficient 155 cooling system goes and overheats the engine, hence heating on full blast, good luck with it.
