I,m afraid i am a total non-mechanical person but I just love the 155 and have to have one.
However I changed the engine oil yesterday and when putting the plug back in cross-thredded it and it must have damaged the thread .Doh!
Now it leaks, not a lot but its starting to mess the road up which wont impress the neighbours.
What can I do to sort this problem out.I darent take the plug out at present in fear of doing any further damage.
coils for that size arnt very common and most people wont stock them.....
wrinx clever boy...it is 3/4unf but you will need to have a new plug made by your local engineer(about£5)
but you will need to ask nicely to borrow the 3/4unf tap.
Thats a bloody bigun' we don't even
go up to that size at work!!!!
if you can find a tap that big,as long
as it has a square shaft,(which it should
have) you can always use a spanner to
turn it,a bit trickier to get it straight,
but it does work.
And remember if you tap it out,1 turn
and then 1/4 back, aids swarf removal
and thread definition.
