Took the V6 for a pressure test and re-gassing of the aircon.
It passed the clean out and vaccuum pressure test no problems but started to HIIIISSSSSS when the guy filled it up again
He eventually found out which bit is at fault after diving into the engine like some mad Vet called out to a cow in labour
It's the pipe that runs from the bulkhead, around the engine, under the battery tray and to the bottom aircon pipe (I think). He reckons its attached to the bulkhead end with an aluminium union (have to be gentle) but it cant be seen.
This looks like a real pig of a job!!!
Has anyone done this before? Any tips??? Puurrrllleeeeezzzz...........
BTW, not sure exactly which part it is on the CD but I'm looking at £85 or £115 for a damn rubber pipe with a bit of tubing
If you're thinking of changing it yourself, take great care not to allow any dirt or moisture to enter the pipe or any other part of the system for that matter, if you do you will find that your a/c won't work much longer.
