Gear oil

A couple of weeks ago I checked my gear oil level , it was a bit low , filled half a liter gear oil.
Now a few days ago , I noticed that at the left side wheel cover oil drops down.

I can't find the oil-leak it is there alright but were , but now I was wondering it possible that by overfilling the gear oil level the oil gets trown out by the air vent syringe(don't known the correct word for it) on the gearbox.
It isn't engine oil , the oil pressure stays normal and oil consumption is normal to for this older engine type 1.8TS/8Valve with about 125000miles/200000km.
Anybody any other ideas??

Things got worse now , think the wheel bearing at the left side is gone and-or the cardan seals??.
Just arrived from work , left side sure makes a lot of noise now.

Can anybody overhere , please supply a drawing of the left side cardan/wheel parts.

Hope I can fix it myself next week.

Why does such things always happens just before holiday , is there an evil curse on 155's ??
