Hi, I have a 1.7 155, heard some clunking and rattling as I went over speed bumps today, so I had a look under the car and found out that both rubbers on the wish bones are quite gone (one just fell apart when I touched it, the other is quite as bad I guess). http://osiris.hexon.cx/~gertjan/wishbone.jpg I have seen that people used powerflex bushes, but it looks that the rubber that's wasted on my wish bones, aren't replaced by the kit. The arrow on the picture points at the worn out rubber on the wishbone. Does anybody know if it is replaceable without replacing all of the wishbone? Any prices and/or Dutch companies would be appreciated as well.
I haven't tested the other ends, just the ends I marked with an arrow. Perhaps the other ends are the only ones affected. However, those rotten dust covers are there for a reason I suppose
I think I'll try to get some with good dust covers from the scrap heap, then refit them with powerflex bushes.
Found another PU bush manf. : http://www.superflex.chriswitor.co.uk ,LOTS cheaper!
Found a webshop that can send me a complete wishbone for 38 euro! (almost 27 pounds) http://www.magmarbenelux.nl/webshop/lst_aanbieding.php
partnr 60813014 is for the right and 60813013 is for the left as far as I can see on http://www.osb-bv.nl/nov-dec.htm
Gertjan, the dust covers are available for a few euros from any motor factors (Brezan of andere automaterialenhandel). If the ball joints feel a little stiff when you try to move the stud they're OK. If they are very loose or very stiff then you need to replace the complete wishbone. Check the tech article on wishbones on this site for details.
