Tyre pressures

There have been a few threads on this forum about tyre & wheel sizes, but does anyone know how to figure the right tyre presure for a non-standard wheel fitment.

For example, in the 155 owner's handbook, the standard tyre size for a 2.0 is given as 195/60x15, and for the V6 as 205/50x15. The tyre pressures specified are different for the two tyres, but I don't know if this is a function of the different size or the fact that there's more weight upfront in a V6.

I've got 205/45x16s on my 2.0. Anyone any idea what the correct tyre pressures should be?

Looks (from the handbook) like the pressures are the same for the 15's and 16's as they are in the same column.

I use 35-36 front and 32 rear but know some on here use a lot less.

I have 205/50/15 tyres.
I use 30psi front and 26psi rear. These are lower than the handbook states, but I found the reduced rear pressure stops the back skipping in mid bend bumps.
The reduced front I've found helps reduce the amount of wheelspin and understeer in the wet.

You're gonna be confused by the time this thread is done !!!!

I run 30psi upfront and 28psi rear on 205/50/15's.

Seems to work ok, as marlon says the reduced psi at the back stops it skipping out so much.

I'm running 37psi upfront and 34psi at the back on my skinny V6, these are as per the handbook, but it does tend to skip at the back as both Marlon and Tony stated.
Tyre pressures also vary depending on wheel diameter, aspect ratio and manufacturer.

When i get round to checking them I run mine at 28 psi all round

This seems to stop it skipping around on the bends and also helps with understeer as stated above
