Injection Light (again, i know...)

I got the red light sindrome for about half a year now, after it started i already had the variator changed, new spark plugs kit and a new lambda sensor, the damn thing just isn´t going away, and now it´s gettin worst, the minute i floor it just lights up.
Can anyone give me some idea of what it could be, and what more can i check?
Tx, in advance.

seems that you have reached the point to see your local dealer and get those error codes...

I had a similar problem with my 96 1.8/16v.

Although the Injection light on mine appeared to light up at Random.

I took it to an Alfa specialist who diagnosed a faulty thermostat. After the thermostat was replaced all was fine again.

Unfortunately, I now appear to have another problem with the engine management in that the engine "misses" and looses power randomly, the injection warning light occasionally flashes on.

I took the 155 to a Bosch specialist who diagnosed a faulty Lambda sensor (the one on the front exhaust box). After replacement of the sensor the problem went away for about 1 month, unfortunately now it's back again!

Any ideas anyone ?

Seeing that you guys seem to know so much, here is a curfball. My 2.0 16v , on a steady partially opened throttle, runs almost like a turbo'd car with a sticky impeller! She seems to hesitate, then go like clappers and then hesitates again. Is this normal? My first thoughts was a faulty Lambda sensor - switching between rich and lean.Must admit. don't know much about these cars yet - could be anything!
Just something to get you guys thinking!
See ya

Rob T- had this problem myself was a dirty air flow sensor.
Follow the air intake from the airbox towards the engine. You will come across two plugs. The first is the air temp sensor, and the second (and slightly larger one) is the air flow sensor. Unplug this and drive as normal. Your injector light will stay on, but if it is at fault your intermittant power loss should dissapear. If it is this, come back and we will direct you further!!

Thanks for the feedback AlfaStu.

Since I was last on the forum, I have serviced the 155 (oil change + new air filter).

Strangley, the problem appears to have dissappeared for since the service.

If (or should I say when!) it re-appears, I'll follow your instructions re: the Air flow sensor and get back to you.
