rear boot badge/lock replacement

Anyone (JB) know how easy it is to replace the rear badge/laock mechanism. I've got a new one (had it ages) to replace mine which is looking a bit weathered.
Thanks in advance

You can get the whole swinging cover assembly or just the badge on its own. There's not much of a price difference, suprisingly.

The badge alone is impossible to fit to the cover assembly while it's stll attached to the car, unless you have 13" long fingers that can bend in any direction.

You have to take the whole assembly off as best you can by undoing the shear bolts (after you cut/drilled a slot in them). They're under the two black buttons under the badge.
