Has anyone ran a squadra chipped V6 on unleaded? I only know of two garages around where i live that sell super unleaded 97 ron, but when you are on a long journey in unfamiliar places and your alfa needs a drink you can't guarentee finding any super unleaded.
The engine has a knock sensor to retare the timing in the event of any preignition, but would the engine always always be leaning on the knock sensor when running on unleaded.
remember it is not a classic car doing 20 miles a year, so bottles of octane booster arn't a viable solution.
The best quote I ever saw after a review of the 164 QV, was "From now on I am only going to buy cars powered by Alfa V6's"
Mmmmmm The noise, the noise...................
