engine cut off

Iīm writing with regard a problem I have in my car (an Alfa Romeo 155 2.0 TS 8v). Basically, the engine canīt go over 5,500 rpm when itīs cold, because it stops having its signals of ignition and injection. When the engine warms up the problem occurs at less rpm -4,000 rpm, when the engine has warmed up-. This problem takes place in any gear.
I have discovered itīs neither the ECU, nor the rpm sensor, since Iīve tested the car with different ECUs and rpm sensors and it keeps doing it.
Hope you can help me find a solution to this problem
Best regards,
Leandro Bonifati from Argentina

Lean, have some mechanical sympathy! Irrespective of your problem you shouldn't be revving anywhere near 5500rpm when the engine's cold.

Keep it below 4000rpm until there's some warmth in the engine.
