The noise from the back of my car is still there after changing to better tyres.
I've done the checking for play bit on the wheels while jacked up and there is absolutely no play.
Is there another way to check the bearings without taking everything apart.
I've done about 2000 miles since I first noticed the noise (which isn't that loud, but annoying) and the noise hasn't got worse. It is loudest at 40-50mph and again at 70-80mph.
Please help, it really annoying me that I don't know if I have "noisy" tyres or gubbed bearings.
Or you could find a straight empty piece of road get to the speed where they are noisy and basically swerve from one side of road to other and back again if the tone changes ie gets louder one way and quieter the other then would say its a bearing wink
