So arter all that do we really know if we are supposed to have them?? It seems we are and the fact they are there is because alfa spent time improving up the handling through testing. Maybe they found it cures the understeer for example.
I was going to ask if anyone knows the correct offset for the wheels to have as many of us, me included have aftermarket wheels, and i thought that maybe the spacers were disreguarded in favour of a different offset built into the wheel.
However!!! as the back does not have spacers and can't have them, and alfa recommend cycling tyres front to back regularly, the wheels must have the same offset front and rear. So you couldn't correct for not having the spacers by having a different offset as this would be different from the back.
I think it's time to measure the track of the car from tyre outside to tyre outside.
How many of us are going to take the £12 plunge and try them out?
The best quote I ever saw after a review of the 164 QV, was "From now on I am only going to buy cars powered by Alfa V6's"
Mmmmmm The noise, the noise...................
