Coolant temp light??
I have just drained the coolant system on my V6 to change the water tap and thermostat. However on long journeys the coolant over temp light flickers on now and then. It goes off when I go over a bump and round corners. Could it be that there is an air bubble around the sensor therefore it is sitting in steam all the time? I tried to force all the air out by squeezing all the pipes. Or could the sensor be faulty.
Can anyone tell me if the sensor is the blue or black one on the water pipe by the thermostat, and what should the resistance be 3-5000ohm's?
The best quote I ever saw after a review of the 164 QV, was "From now on I am only going to buy cars powered by Alfa V6's"
Mmmmmm The noise, the noise...................
