It's strange.. I've got both.. one on the silverstone & one on the Q4. Both spoilers look nice, the 'rounder' mangoletsi style spoiler actually continues the curve of the sides of the car & ties in really well, while the silverstone spoiler is nice & pointy like the body.
it started off life as an Audi 80 4post boot spoiler.
i meant to take pitures of the before/during/after building phases but i forgot
it was origionally a 'sit on top' spoiler, but with an amount of filler/cataloy, i managed to extend the line to hang over the edge... my magical friend - clingfilm - helped here. Some clingfilm over the edge of the boot and corner with a lump of filler/cataloy was put in place, sit sploiler on top and let it set. This got me the exact shape of the boot lid corner onto the bottom of the spoiler and then i just filled and sculpted 'till i got the shape i was lookin for.
Paint then done... took about 2 weeks from pulling it off a car in the scapyard to putting it on the car.
good fun and nice to see a good looking result... i was more surprised and impressed at my creation than anything else.
Marlon has the pix somewhere! oi! marlon.. show me pix!
