second.. exhaust.. bore? make? custom powerflow type or off the shelf?
I guess we've all agreed that the CAT's should be dropped if legal etc.
Any suggestions or advice would be great since an exhaust seems to range from about £300 to well over £1000. Oh yeah.. performance is what I want, but not _too_ loud wink - I wouldn't want to attract the furry dice brigade!
i think......an equal lenght tubular manifold is best and as for the rest free flow is important on a turbo you dont want the back pressure effect that you get on normal cars i would think that 3inch is plenty big enough.
I agree with jimybob;an equal lenght tubular manifold is the best choice. And if you use/bye a free flow system,2,5 inch is enough for atleast 300 bhp on a Integrale/Coupe 16v T and Q4.Ex. cat and rear silencer,no cat and 2 silencers (acceptable noise ),or the loud one:no cat and one silencer eek!
make your own pipe! You can buy the pre bent stainless tubes, a couple of 1000cc bike cans and you're sorted.......not for the faint hearted, and if done properly, very noisy..,,lovely gurgle on trailing throttle...bit of heel an' toe into your fav. roundabout....aaaaaaaaaaah
