Following on from Wrinx's rust nuts, as noted in 'Bruised Speedlines' - has anyone restored their silver shineyness to their wheelnuts?

I tried mine a couple of months back - wire brushed them down (wire brush thingy in electric drill) and sprayed them silver. I think it took about 2 weeks for them to start going orange again!

Any ideas?

...........erm, my nuts aren't rusty eek!

The piccy is of a black car and as you all know my car is pink wink

I painted the wheelnuts with black enamel paint, all except for the shiny locking nut cover. Just so I know which one it is when changing them

Last week I got fed up at looking at my 'rusty nuts'

I was gonna fork out for brand new ones but then thought i should at least try to paint em up myself. gone for some simple silver touch up.

lets see how long it lasts....if not long its a wire brush job and some smooth hammerite
