(Better do this in English, those islanders aren’t that good at anything but English ). It's legal to drive with your headlights on aboard.
In my 155 (16v) I just turn off the lights, and that that.
Earlier I had a 33 '93 on which I had to remove a fuse, as far as I remember, it's situated near the battery.
I’ve started some time ago to use “driving light” (i.e. dipped headlights) abroad. You used to get flashed at from the Danish border all the way south but not anymore. Even when overseas no one seems to bother, in fact, many use dipped headlights both in Europe and elsewhere.
I don’t se the point of sidelights – you won’t be seen more than 50 m away. And why only on motorways, hopefully, you won’t meet much oncoming or crossing traffic. It not so that it’s just to “clear the fast lane”, is it?
Kai, I’m sure an Alfa dealer or specialist will know where to find the day light fuse, I can’t remember how I found it in the 33; whether is was obvious or in the manual. But all I had to do was removing fuse and refitting it returning.
Craig, can’t believe “beloved VW”! Beloved – was that after the writing off?
