What is it?

I have just bought new tyres now the drivers side
(left hand drive) wheel rubs on the plastic inner arches when on full lock. Behind the arch is a black plastic box'not very securly fitted' pushing the plastic arch forward.
The silly question.... What is the box?

My Alfa is a 1.6 TS YES 1.6 Ok all you 3litre guys stop laughing.

I would be greatfull for any help. O woul;d like to know what I am kicking out of the way before I do it.

Ok, seriously, what tyres/wheels are you running?

Could also be a bit of the black trim is distorted or poorly fitted, they are not too good!!!
