Tach Wire On A TS Engine

I'm going to fit an alarm which requires the finding of a tach wire to monitor engine RPMs. Can anyone please explain to me how the twinspark ignition system is wired together(in terms of coil(s), distributor etc.) to help me locate what I'm looking for?

I have a 2000 145 but I presume the basic principle of the TS technology between the 155 and 145 would be similar....

Thanks In Advance....

You need either a workshop manual and a lot of time and patience or to go to an Alfa Dealer with a repairs garage and ask a mechanic nicely. The latter will probably be the easiest and the fastest!

Good luck!

I assume the 145 will have a 16V engine with the distributorless ignition.
This relies on the motronic receiving a signal from the crank angle sensor to pins 48 & 49 from a screened lead.
The motronic feeds the rev counter via pin 6 (Brown & white wire).
This applies to the M2 10.3 &10.4 systems on the 155.
