Hi, i have just spent 2 hours in the rain, trying to fit an Omp strut brace to my 1.8 Ts, 8v. The brace is an adjustable type, which should make for easier fitting.
The problem lies with the drivers side, turret. The upper engine steady is mounted to this and uses two of the four mounting bolts. The brace will not fit over the engine staedy, so i loosend it and slid the brace underneath. However, this means that the engine is now put at a slight angle, and longer bolts are needed for the two shared fixing points! Does anyone have any ideas on this. I don't want to put the engine and exhaust system under any undue stress by fitting the brace in the wrong position.
