Another chance to drive the 155 with a quick visit to Spain. Got the Spanish MOT with one advisory: rear brakes were unequal: one side 80% the other quite a bit more. That's with new discs and pads fitted.
Apart from that no issues. Although I'm sure new bushes would be a good idea.
So I'll have to strip the rears and will probably replace the caliper bolts and ensure the piston is moving freely.
Other work to do are front discs and pads - which I have ready to go but could I get coppaslip or similar? Nowhere - Promise - even motor factors looked blank. So they install them dry obviously...stupid English - what you put grease on brakes for...I gave up and took a big tube of Copaslip with me. Summer job for me. (The pads were missing the sachet that should have come with the kit).
Others: oil temp sensor is very slow responding, variator has been shot for years. Clutch must be at the end of its life. Oil leak from cam cover. Need to replace some wheel nuts.
Mileage stands at 125,000 km
My engine has timing chains and is pre-belt...
Any advice for ought to do's for a DIYer?
