check you have no air getting in to the system where it shouldn't be.

Check all the rubber hoses between inlet chamber and chrome runners for splits.
check the rubber pipe that goes between oil pot (black circular pot bolted to rear of chamber) and the rear cam cover.

basically check anything that is rubber, is not split.

well turns out it was the lambda sensor mind u it did have 2 sockets on lambda which ive now converted to the newer straight 4 pin which seems to work fine it is hunting a little but thats probably cause theres a 2-3mm gap on the rear bank exhaust-manifold i may make a couple of mannifolds for it get rid of the cast ones. Almost ready to get the t&ted

Cheers for all the help

ok next jobs to do 2x outer cv boots while ive got the drive shafts out ill see if a 2.0l gtv front hub will fit on the shaft spline to do a possible 5 stud conversion i know how to convert the rears to 5 stud being that mine 155 is a v6 im not sure if it will fit. There was a small split in 1 of my inlet runner rubbers which i will change. I am looking into pulling out the 2.5 12v and and fitting a 3.0l 24v but that wont be for a while yet.

Another of the 155.org regulars is in the process ofinstalling a 24v into a 155 - tho a few have done it before...worth checking out the threads

I'd agree a 12v is a good old beastie, though!

Grrrrrrr it is so annoying trying to do my 155 on a budget i dont mind spending money on it its just not a fortune.
Anyone know a garage where i can take the 155 to and get the running issue and possibly cambelt kit done. Getting rather stressed with it but dont want to give up. Also selling my 145 to help fund the 155

She's running again almost i got it booked in at autolusso and low and behold 2 days later she's working again turns out it was a combination of a few air leaks on various gaskets and a breather on the back of the engine when i mean almost now that she's idling properly another fault has appeared when u let off the throttle u can hear the bottom end rattle only slightly so now that's the next thing to do i'm hoping and praying that we have caught it before its done any damage to the crank i dont want to have to drop the engine out to get it sorted. the saga continues lol and i still haven't got round to changing the horrible wheels.
