Aye... but in those rare cases, it's just as easy to fit "proper" new '55 box-section arms

as it is to go to all the trouble of buying Renoort or Volvo ones.
The only advantage I can see is that it's easier to fit a complete wiper "head" unit in the future... since any of the "universal" type heads from Halfords etc. will fit.
But judging by how few packs of blade rubbers are for sale, compared to how many packets of heads are for sale, I'd say that people generally fit new heads when they actually only need new rubbers.
Heads hardly ever wear out. My 155 is on it's second set (first set came out of the factory and did crack after 7-8 years). The new set (Alfa arms) is still perfect... though it's had lost-count numbers of replacement blades in that time..
