My new 155 TS
My new 155 TS.
I gave it a quick wash this morning (before the rain!)
Had a quick poke about and have seen the following:-
Has a BMC CDA under the bonnet
Has a stainless steel centre section and back box
4 new tyres.
Jobs to do asap:-
MOT
Cambelt and variator
Touch up/t-cut/wax various scratches on the bodywork.
Hand brake needs a bolt to attach it securely as it's come off (you can shake it about).
Needs a new section of exhaust after the manifold as it's blowing and has previously been repaired poorly.
Re-attach clip on drivers side skirt.
Sort windscreen wipers!
New gear knob as the current one is coming off!
Hoover the inside!!!!
Mods to do:-
New steering wheel.
Strutt brace.
Refurb alloys.
Bigger brakes.
Lower suspension.
New shocks.
Squadra Chip.
Source leather interior.
Then it should be mint
Your Alfa Romeo.
Drive it like you've nicked it!
Gone but not forgotten
147 1.6 Lusso on a 52 plate.
147 2.0 Lusso on a 02 plate One day that V6 GTV will be mine......

Very worthwhile!
Funnily enough, the train up there from London was 4 and a half hours.
The 'spirited' drive back only took 5 hours!

Technical subjects
That should answer your questions.
But basically it can increase the performance of your engine.

I guess it is otherwise why offer it? Like most manufacturers Alfa set the car up for the best of all world (performance/emissions/economy) so if you wanna lose a bit of one you can gain on another.
Underneath, from what I've seen doesn't look too bad (fingers crossed). Am booking an MOT today so I suppose I'll find out soon enough!

There's work to be done, but that's half the fun of an 155!
MOT at 8.30am tomorrow. Could be in tears by lunchtime!
Fingers crossed I won't be though!

I've already got my eyes on this Welcome to Strutbracer depending on the result of the MOT.
A good result and it gets ordered tomorrow. A bad...... well, I'll wait until payday at least.....

I have a spare flexi section (bit between manifold and cat) in my garage that could save a bit of money if you want it, am pretty sure it is ok, only changed it cos I was trying to locate a leak, which turned out to be the manifold itself.
Car is looking good.

I might have that if that's the bit that needs replacing.
Will be able to let you know tomorrow! Cheers!

If you do need it, PM me you address and I'll drop it off during the week sometime after work. I work in Brentwood, so will be over Essex way all week.

Has someone not worked out how to make another model Alfa wing mirror fit in place? One of my colleagues has just rescued a black Alfa 155 V6 and intends to put it back on the road, he's going to need to borrow the wing mirrors from our courtesy car to get it through the MOT but what are the long term options, he's not been able to find any second hand..
