Alfa Romeo 155 8V Twin Spark 2.0 Engine Removal

Hi, need to remove the engine, just wondered the best way to do this?

As theres not much room to remove the ancillaries and split it.

Thanks.

Don't even think of trying to remove the engine on its own - engine and box together is the only way....

depending on what tackle you have it can come out the top, or be dropped out the bottom - if the car can be raised high enough. I usually do this, but then again I'm usually stripping the car completely, rather than removing and replacing the engine......

Hi sorry old thread I'm dragging up lol but hadn't got round to this yet .

Would like to do this and keep a 155 on the road.. Seems to be a rare car now.so what's best way to remove this lump? Don't mind pulling gearbox as well as that has to come out anyway for clutch.

I've got a 1 tonne engine hoist if it's any help lol so what's the procedure for removing from underneath? Thanks.

5 x 155

I take bumper, front panel with lights, radiator, remove drive shafts 6 allen key bolts in each shaft, then disconnect everything and engine box out.
Good luck
