As it says is it possible to put 2.0 cams into 1.8 and do you gain anything?

I shouldn't see that it is a problem as the 1.8 and 2.0 heads are the same.
I would think that the only difference may be the length and timing of the inlet/exhaust cams.

I have a set of Piper cams for a 16v engine, they are 268 degree and are designed to work with the variator. PM me if you are interested

Possibly a silly question, Dan, but do you get a matching set of camlocks with modded cams? or if not, given how we always tell people that you can't time these engines without the camlocks, what procedure do you use.....? I've always thought that it "should" be possible, but since I've got the locks, I've always used them.

The standard cam locks can be used to fit these cams. Even tho the profile is slightly different, the camlocks still fit. You could fit these cams in conjunction with vernier pulleys to allow adjustment, but if you were going to advance these cams more by using vernier pulleys, you'd probably be better off buying more agressive cams in the first place, get rid of the variator and run really advanced timing. I think you would need to have camlocks made to fit if you were using standard cam pulleys.
On a remapped CF3, these cams in conjunction with 1mm bigger inlet valves and no front cats these made 190bhp & 170lbft which is pretty mega for a 2 litre.

Doesn't the fact that you can take the head off a 1.8 and fit it to a 2.0 block mean there is no difference in the cams between the 1,8 16v and the 2.0 16v. It's the stroke of the engine that makes the difference in capacity!

1.8 16v and 2.0 16v cams are the same, at least in the CF2 and CF3 engines in 145/146/156/GTV etc. I would have guessed the 155 was the same.
