Has one catch released but not the other?

The catches might be reachable from underneath.. the cable passes through a wire spring, so you need to find it, puch it towards the nearside of the car and the bonnet should sprint up.

I've got a brand new headlamp.. complete and unused. I think it's an offside one but I'd need to check. It's a manual one though (not the type with the electric load-height adjuster, if you're after one of those).

Just a thought. If your o/s headlight is scrap, why not carefully smash the crap out of it so you can reach the bonnet release through the hole Shall I get me coat
