RPM problems

Hi i have alfa 155 1.8 8 valve. When i start the engine it works normal, and after a few time the rpm is increasing by his own to 4000 and works like that for min and after that drop to 1000 rpm, and doing that again after few minutes. Maybe someone now what do i need to change or clean. I already clean that air.... thing

on the top of the engine , but it's still the same.

Idle Control Valve.
Check for splits in the hoses, including corrugated hose between Throttle body and Air Mass meter
