Champagne gold or Champagne silver, something like that I think is the colour. Its a bit rare that colour.
I'm on my 2nd 155 and when I sat into it the first thing I thought was why? Why did I ever sell my first.

Ah, new to Alfas then.

I wish 155's were a bit more common in Oz, and were therefore as cheap (though I'd possibly not have wanted one then)! Seems that a very decent 155 can be under GBP$1000, whereas I paid AUS$6000 for my 'not so decent condition' car a couple years ago!

yes i have been trying to work the colour out, as in a autoitalia feature i have there is a champagne silver
one but it looks gold! i have plans for the car!

the only reason i snapped the car up, is so i can get to work dropping a 20 valve fiat coupe turbo engine in,
i have wanted to do this for a long time, i use to own a coupe turbo years a go, and loved the way the car drove and sounded, a year ago i was told the coupe and 155 share the same floorpan/layout, that planted the seed, i was never that keen on the looks of the coupe but always love alfa saloons!

as for alfas in Aus and car's in genral you get a rough deal, but then again you get great weather!
cant have it all!!

Hi Cranky, whereabots are you, 155s are very rare over here as u know, its always great to see another on the road. I need to replace my plugs but also the head around the coilpacks looks like it needs to be resealed as there is water oil and dirt getting in. Just cleaned it out recently and discovered the mess inside

The one in the magazine is not the original colour it has been resprayed! It's very similar but has more pearl in the paint I think. Belongs to one of the guys on 155.org.

It's Grey according to the DVLA as that's what's on most V5's. Not really that rare a colour, I've just sold a 1.8 16v in the same.

There is already an ongoing coupe conversion going on over on 155.org that may be useful to you.

Is it just the fuel guage that's not working? Sounds like it could be the sender-cheap and siimple enough fix AFAIK

Fuel gauge is faulty on every 155 I have owned or driven, I think Ciaran is right its something to do with the sender, although I heard the gauge itself can get stuck due to dirt in there or something like that. Unfortunately I'm gonna be in Crete for Mondello lads and I'm rightly ****ed off but sure what can you do. Maybe the Iceland volcano will start erupting again, then I'll be there
