25 iirc, wide body wheels went to 37 to give the increased track by 25mm

Part of the wider track of the widey's comes from elongated suspension components.. they have different track rod ends etc.

The wheels will be somewhere around 35-37 offset. It's pretty ball-park for FWD.

Afaik the only difference in track rod ends is down to whether you have a quick rack fitted or not as the uprights are different. Same goes for the V6. Track is mainly dictated by the lower arms and these are the same for the widey and skinny.
Distance between the strut tops is the same as well.

The cheapest way for any manufacturer to increase the track is to change the offset of the wheels if you start to change suspension components as well then it would lead to a massive increase in D&D for tooling and testing of new components.
