Busted spark plug

Last night, when I was about to drive to work, after a couple of hundred meters the engine suddenly began making a very weird sound. I immediately drove back home and after some investigating I found out that the small plug in the fourth cylinder had apparently popped somehow and the pressure from the cylinder was escaping via the plug, hence the odd sound.

Pictures can be seen here: Index of /~jacko/tulpat

And here's a picture of the popped rubber and cracked plastic: http://notafront.org/~jacko/tulpat/02102009.jpg

Anyway, my question is regarding the removal of the plug. I have the original 16mm Alfa tool (also seen in the previous picture) for spark plug removal, but are both of the plugs (small and big) the same size? I'm on my way to buy tools and I'm considering buying a better tool for spark plug removal but I need to know for sure that is the small plug also 16mm? I can't check it yet because I don't have the proper tools to remove the metal shield/gasket/thingy which is in the way of the hole for the small plug.

And one more thing; is the brown/orange shaft that attaches to the plug (I'm not a native English speaker so I don't really know the correct names for all the parts) removable from the wire? Or do I have to replace the spark plug wire too?

Thanks for any help!

Hi mate. just replace the rubber bit. The orange part should be ok but check it for obvious signs of damage. I have a spare rubber cap if you want it. Just cover the postage and its yours. I think they are different sizes though can't remember.
