Just had someone confirm this mod works on a 16valve as he has 146Ti callipers and hangers on his but you would need to check the 146 ones were correct as someone else had a set from a 146Ti that didn't fit (think 146 had 2 diffrent designs of hanger).
Old callipers are at my grandad's so next time I am there I will measure distance between mounting holes. It was distance between mounting holes that was worry the height from mouting to disc and size of disc are not an issue and should be spot on without any problems.
The new ones are the type that were fitted to 146, GT and some early 156's... They have Bendix and ATE stamped on them and have the pads that has the bing spring on back of one (that goes into the piston) and hooks at either end.
As far as how good they are... They are getting better all the time and are night and day compared with originals. Car doesn't feel like it is nosediving now, it feels smooth and progressive, controlled and the pedal travel + pressure required is so much less than it was before.
The other 155 owner witht he 2.0L 16v reports the same inprovements and a few 155 owners with 146's say the 146 breaks always felt better than the 155.
If you wanna give it a go you will just need to check the mouting holes are the same distance apart on yours to the callipers you would be fitting and as not all 146's are the same you would need to check at the time.
I got mine from Lancsbreaker (on here think he is "rgwm") you could maybe ask him as he should be able to match up the holes in hangers to a 16v one and see if they match before sending.
