Ooo.. tricky one.
I gather the beast is outdoors in which case you'll need a plastic jobbie. I'm not sure I'm a fan of outdoor covers as they tend to trap moisture underneath (being non-breathable) and also that constant flapping about as the wind catches it probably doesn't do the paint finish any good (think about the dirt and grit that will get blown into the cover sitting on the paint, with the cover flapping about on top of it).
It may be best to just leave the beast uncovered and just wash/wax it now and again. The only thing I would do is put a plastic bag over the disc brakes to keep them from rusting (rain and your car washes).
Another thing you might look at is sticking the beast under a gazebo. My sister has one.. it's about the size of a small garage (wide enough.. about long enough for a car) and it's just metal tubes and a plastic sheet over the top of it, basically... kind of a big tent. I don't know where she got i (Argos?) but it was in the £10s rather than £100s.
No bullets for Chaingun..
