Took Tarquini's Mille Miglia Evo-5 alloys to the mender this morning.
They're a "teeny bit" buckled from his trans-galactic voyages to Alfa-Centauri (past Jupiter, second left, then keep going for 1,500,000,000 Light Years).. so dude just has to straighten them out a bit and then re-finish in the original black-silver hi-power jobbie finish.
Trouble is, when the fella put them on the spinning wheel thing, they were flapping about like they were made of blancmange. I thought they were a bit out of shape (aren't we all, after all) but the geezer said it was dubious whether even the best wheel-surgeons in the country could get them straight.
Anyway, he'll give it a go (wheel-surgeon speak for "use a bigger hammer"?) and I'll have some clue by Wednesday if there's any hope.
(Yes Yes.. I know I could just buy new ones.. only I likes the MM's and the're extinct now, in the wild).
