Today I fixed my suspension (and the wifes 156 but that's another story).
The suspension change went well and she's less of a death trap now.
That's when the problems started...... first I locked my keys in the car, happened when I reconnected my battery and the central locking kicked in..... poppped the bonnet down, went to open the car door, now it's locked and I can see my only set of keys in the ignation..... I had to laugh or I'd have cryed.
A peice of wire and 30 minutes later I had her unlocked, alarmingly easy to get in really!
Then I decided to look into my oil leak as she's been making a mess of my drive. I have found a small crack in my sump which I understand is fairly coomon on these.
I've attached a pic of the offending crack. It's not a big leak but I worry it may get worse.
Is this something I should address imediately, I personally don't see a major problem and will probably replace the sump at the next oil change ( summer time i expect).
Is it possible to repair/weld these? I'm going to try patching it with liquid metal tomorrow as a short term fix (it worked so well on my mirrors I thought it would be worth a shot).
Any advice is much appreciated as always.
