New 155. . . Again.

Hey. Got rid of the 155 I got recently due too it being about dead, lol. . . But I've brought a new one

Its a 1.8 8V in Arctic White, full colour coded skirts, mirrors etc, and the Silverstone spoiler.

Not driven an 8V yet however, what do you all think of them? And what about the colour. It will probably have a set of the black Speedlines put on it too.

Nice, wouldn't happen to be a certain white one that very recently appeared on ebay would it?

What's the "certain one on eBay" got working against it? Was it a bit of a minger?

Re: New 155. . . Again.

congrats on the new car. i'm sure anything bad about it can be fixed.

white can look great. subtle mods like clear side/front repeaters and silver/grey wheels would be my preference (rather than black wheels). and whilst i appreciate that Speedlines offer a 'genuine alfa' look, i'm not a big fan of them - purely subjective.

Re: New 155. . . Again.

I had a 2 litre white 8v for 12 years, great car, finally sold it as got fed up with windscreen wipers.

Are you sure its Artic White, when I asked the Alfa dealer for some white touch up paint 11 years ago, he asked me the colour to which I replied white, he said it must have a name i.e. Artic etc, and sent me out to check the paint code (on the boot lid inside), I told him the code and he looked it up and then with a slightly red face agreed that the car was just "white". When clean it made all other white cars (including my new fiat 500) look off white. This really annoyed my cousin who had bought an old white Rolls Royce Silver Shadow in white to do weddings, he'd cleaned and polished it up and was bragging about it at my sisters wedding we went out side and it was parked next to my unwashed (for a month at least) 14 year old 155 and every one commented that the Rolls looked cream #

Remember the 8v is the last proper 4 cylinder Alfa engine is lighter over the front wheels and has more tuning potential than the 16v

Re: New 155. . . Again.

treasure this one, white is very rare on a 155, and the 8v is becoming about as rare as the q4.... haven't driven a 1.8 8v, am a bit curious how it performs....

Re: New 155. . . Again.

Hopefully the speedlines will be on it by the time you see it then

It will be treasured I can only remember ever seeing one other white oneand that was a few years ago. Driving wise it's great. I've never driven an 8V one before this one, but even compared too the 2.0 16V its pretty quick and better on fuel too, lol. Not really sure on handling at the moment, been a bit icy recently, lol. All the signs are good though
