She's lovely (is it a she?)
hmm, not sure. i think i will call it 'Variss' (va-riss), because i have the number plate V.AR.155 to fit onto it.
is that a bloke's name, or a girlie name?
That's 'Stones, dude.. not Bridgies.
ooh, sorry, 'Stones it is.
but...what do you call Firestone tires?

CAREFUL with the chrome bits, reportedly the chrome comes off like nothing. best not to touch with anything but water and soap. don't dry it with a rag either...
yes, i've started, pretty much like you suggest.
i used a hair dryer (instead of a heatgun), and the glue has softened easily. cleaned up the left-over 'gum' with wax&grease remover.
i've carefully 'cracked open' one of the front repeater housings, and given it a good wash inside and out. i opened it cos the clear lens inside was loose, rattling around, so i wanted to reattach it. as a bonus, i think i will totally remove the ORANGE lens that is inside, and replace the 'clear' P21W globes with 'orange-tinted-silver' globes.
i will report back with photos and the finished product when i fix them up.
Great to hear of another one. I know of the Q4, belongs to Jim who posts on the berlinasportivo forum, I thought his was the only one but now I hear there are 12 - still a tiny amount though in a BIG country.
yes, i've heard many cool things about Jim's car, though i haven't seen it. i wish there were other Q4's around for sale, but i think that was the only one imported.
it was the previous owner of mine that said there were 12, but even 'that many' surprised me. i've only been made aware of 4, incl mine and Jim's.
can't be without ICE in my cars. i will build up a decent system; i have so much gear in the cupboard to use, all in top condition, ripe for the picking. my plans include:
*alpine CDA-9835 : old, but venerable
*morel supremo tweeters (full size ones) fitted to factory front speaker location (suitable for 4")
*Dynaudio MW160 woofers: fitted to the doors on custom pods
*Diamond Audio M612 12" sub in 'sealed' enclosure that i'll 'mould/build' into the side of the boot
*Phoenix Gold Tantrum series amps (older, black models): T600.4 4-channel + T1200.1
it'll be a relatively basic (for me!) install and neatly fitted. but it's probably 6 months away before i start. gotta finish the GT's ICE first!
thanks for all the interest guys. i'll keep you updated.
