Ciao fellow 155isti,
The speedometer doing its boing-boing thing yet again as I picked up the car after her 2 week rest at the airport parking lot, despite a previous fix in April and after the previous ECU issue in January (complaining that the engine temp probe was sending 'unplausible' values), achieved to convince me that the bella has to go...
Really, the electrics have let this car down big time.
Which is too bad, because the engine is like a piece of jewelry. 110k miles and not drinking a drop of oil...
So before I have to change the clutch, belts, spark plugs, tires in about 6k miles, get the speedo fixed again, change the right mirror for 150 euro, and pay a @#$@# registration fee of 230 euro in November, bye bye Bella.
Given the euro rates, I want to get a new US spec Mazda3 hatchback: same car as the european version, 156bhp 2.3L 16V, manual, sunroof, for about $20k.
Bearing in mind that here the least used 156 from 2004 and on, in good condition, is about $12k for about 50k miles... Am I completely in the wrong?
