Yep , what the man said .
We spent Thursday blatting across the country , Sunday down to the West Country , & tomorrow East Anglia gets a dose...
Have racked-up 600-odd miles at (barely ) legal speeds , including several dust-ups with the local heroes , she's as healthy as the day she was born.
It appears that there is some residual current creeping into the system , making the lamp glow weakly , but of course you can only see it when the ambient light is low....
So the next(ish) job is to discover why , and why I've got no pressure or temperature gauge readings.
For now , the bulb is rattling around the glovebox , cheap fix !!! ..

" And we say you can't be a serious alfa owner , unless you're a petrolhead ".....or something.

Also a good point. Again, I'd assumed that something more rigorous than 'Oh, a red light' had been done by way of diagnosis
