Fitting bump stops?

Just got 2 new bump stops to fit to rear suspension @ £20 each - what a rip off. Anyway they're not slipping in as easy as I expected. I've used a bit of fairy liquid but still don't wanna go in.
Before I start using a screwdriver to push them in I thought I'd ask to see if anyone knows any tricks to get them in. Thanks

Re: Fitting bump stops?

When I did, I just lifted the rear end up until the rear wheels came loose form the ground and slid in the stops through the spring windings. Not a problem really, maybe your stops are bigger?

Re: Fitting bump stops?

Yeah I raised one side at a time, took wheel off, removed bottom damper mount and then took spring off. So access was not a problem.
I've got them fitted now - just went with the fairy liquid / screwdriver method. Thanks.

Re: Fitting bump stops?

tip for next time, raise the whole rear up as the arb will have tried to keep the spring compressed
