147 Road tests anyone??

Am 'researching' for a possible return to the fold next year, with a 147.

Am desperate to read some 147 road tests to get a better feel of their handling and ride.

Can anyone help? Am especially interested in the Autocar road tests and more so of the 1.6 version. Also Autocar didi a three way comparison with Focus & A3. Does anyone have these that they could perhaps photocopy or scan and send to me.

Any help much appreciated; i will have more questions for you 147 owners in due course..............

Merry Christmas all!

Try these

Alfa Romeo 147 (01 on) Review - Parker's

Top Gear | Alfa Romeo 147 Car Review

Alfa Romeo 147 Buyer's Guide

Alfa Romeo 147 | Used Car Tests | Car Reviews | Auto Express

Alfa Romeo 147 | Used Car Tests | Car Reviews | Auto Express

Lots of info on these websites. Have a look at the reader reviews on the parkers website. These tell you alot about the car over the longer term.

I've got a 147 and ive never been left wanting for performance from the engine. At 7000 rpm she wails like a banshee!!

Check her out

Cheers and Merry Xmas.

Re: 147 Road tests anyone??

Hi There,

I can't help out with the 1.6, but the ride and handling on my 147 is great. I think the ride is a bit stiff at first, but nice once you are used to it. I have also had mine on the track twice this year and apart from straight line speed it has no problems at all. Flicking it into corners is a treat and brakes are good.

So far and it's a 51 reg I have enjoyed owning it and hope to for many years.

I hope that helps a little.
